Meet Gail Everett-Smith

Gail’s professional acting career began Spring 1988 in Orlando Florida. She worked in feature film, television, commercials, and magazine/billboards. Working during a period where there were few African American actors located in Florida, she developed relationships with Universal and Disney Studios as the go to person when looking for people of color for their projects. Sometimes providing as many as two hundred people of color for a production. In 1990 Star Quality Talent Marketing Service (An ethnic talent bank comprised of people of color) was opened to support the demand for trained talent.

Due to increasing request from the Atlanta market Gail relocated in 1995; during this period, she continued training talent in performance art. The training embodied the total performer through acting, singing and dance. In 2012 ActNet Entertainment Studios opened its doors with Gail as CEO and Artistic Director using the same concept of the total performer. As well as courses to educate the student in the Etiquette and Business of Acting. In 2014 Gail added The ActNet Agency to represent talent in securing roles within the industry.

Often called a mother hen type, Gail has great passion for the world of entertainment, from watching old black and white movies; to listening to jazz; to teaching talent to act. Gail has a very real concern for the direction of the professional actor’s career.

Coach Gail is now a proud Coach of AHA and a certified coach under Coach Jonna Naegele instructing The Chubbuck Technique.

Meet
Bisola Salimonu

Specializing in Actor Development and Career Coaching.

My Career Coaching and Actors Planning sessions are designed to help skilled actors and entertainers to develop a plan, create a portfolio, land an agent, and book roles. These sessions are about deciding who you want to be, making a plan, and going out to be that. My goal is to decrease the amount of time and money spent on failed attempts to build a career as an actor. In our first session we will review your current portfolio and see where we can enhance it. We will then work to develop and define your goals. The remainder of our sessions will consist of working on goals by: active brainstorming, profile editing, creating to-do lists, setting appointments, drafting/sending out emails, and doing everything necessary to increase your ability to book and reach your goals.”-Bisola
